Mission
I am thankful to be a citizen of the United States, and to reside in the beautiful state of Arizona. The opportunities are boundless to pursue one’s goals and dreams, and these opportunities must be protected. In order to protect these ideals, I am running for the Arizona State Senate, District 9. I am not a politician, nor do I want to be one. My intention is to protect individual freedom and to limit the actions by our government.
America was created on the ideals of liberty and personal responsibility. As sovereign individuals, we strive to provide a better future for our families. I am a firm believer that every individual owns oneself and has the right to decide what is best for that individual as long as that decision does not infringe on the rights of others.
As a proud member of the Libertarian Party, I am eager to share our perspective in order to enlighten the frustrated populous. For me personally, the Libertarian Party is the only party that consistently refers to the founding documents of our country, and persistently tries to adhere to those principles provided in those documents. Republicans and Democrats are more or less the same. Both use the Constitution in order to usurp more power whether through increase in taxation and government regulation, or by limiting our individual freedoms.
On the contrary, the Libertarian Party firmly comprehends the purpose of our Constitution. The Founding Fathers understood that the powers of the government must be limited in order to protect the sanctity of individual liberty.
Libertarians promote compassion by allowing all individuals to live their lives in peace and respecting equal rights under the law. This simple act ensures tolerance and inclusivity of others.
A common misunderstanding is that Libertarians are anarchist or believe in a society without laws. This concept is incorrect. Libertarians believe in the United States Constitution as the supreme law of the land to limit government by specifically enumerating the powers to serve and protect the liberty of each and every individual.
Society is currently facing many economical problems. In order to face these challenges with reasonable solutions, the common citizen needs to be free from the shackles of government. The only limitation we have is one’s imagination. The Libertarian Party is the only party willing to defend liberty on all issues to allow all civilized people to work, live, love, play, and dream in one’s own way.
What I find most important about the Libertarian perspective is the importance of caring for the people. It is a people-centered politics that places high respect on the individual and encourages all to discover their best by developing one’s full potential.
Libertarians are consistent on issues through self-ownership. One has the control of one’s own body, action, speech and property. The role of government is to defend individuals against force and fraud, and to protect one’s right to activities that are peaceful and honest.
No other party challenges the state in the name of individual liberty. The right to Life, the right to Liberty, and the right to Property are the basis for why I am willing to run for the State Senate, District 9. As you review the issues important to Arizona, please keep in mind that my intention is to pass legislation that promotes liberty and less government.
