Electricity

The structure of our grid system needs to change.

Competition must be able to flourish so that the consumers have the electricity needed at an affordable price.  By eliminating the monopolies and state control, innovation by entrepreneurs will meet those demands.  Both conventional and renewable energy will be permitted in order to meet what the market allows.

In the open market, wholesale firms need to be divided to form independent firms.  These firms will be able to compete and provide quality service at a lower price.  Less regulation will also be needed to encourage the creation of new power generators.

On the retail side of the open-market, companies will purchase from the wholesale firms and make innovative offerings to attract consumers and maintain their loyalty.  The consumer will be protected from unfair prices while protecting the environment with innovative and modern power generation.
