I am honored to declare that I have taken the Rule of Law Restoration pledge. This pledge is parallel to the Libertarian stand on limited government. I will not act outside the limited powers of the office I hope to obtain and fulfill my obligation to make use of “checks and balances” powers established by the Arizona Constitution. I also promise to not vote for a law that I have not read. And most importantly, I will strictly follow the United States Constitution and the Arizona Constitution, both of which I have read.

Restoring the Principles of Limited Government

One reason why I became a Libertarian is because of its tenacity in following the principle of limited government. During the Presidential Republican debates in 2008, Ron Paul was the only candidate who consistently referred to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to defend his position. It was so refreshing to hear a candidate mention these documents. I only wish more politicians, statesmen and even voters referred to them on a consistent basis. By reviewing the Constitutional Basics, by Roger Pilon, I hope you are intrigued to continue studying this priceless documents and expect our elected officials to actually use them to make decisions best for the people.

It is both. We call this Crony Capitalism. Yes, both big government and big business work together to protect their own interests. The laws passed by Congress reflect the interests of those who make them. Special interests groups and lobbyists have corrupted our free market system and created “An Economy of Liars.” Please read Mr. O’Driscoll Jr.’s article regarding this topic to learn more.
