About
Michael Patti is a concerned citizen who has come to the realization that the sovereign citizen is being overshadowed by endless regulations and taxes by both the State and Federal governments. As a common citizen, he feels the obligation to actively get involved in local politics in order to limit the tentacles of the government into the private lives of peaceful individuals. His ultimate goal is to limit the powers of the government by following both the State and Federal Constitutions, instill the checks and balances of each branch of government, and to promote the sovereign individual to live one’s life in peace with less government interference. Mr. Patti is proud to be a citizen of Arizona and the United States, and firmly believes in the founding documents that which formed the rudiments of our political ideology. Such documents include, but are not limited to COMMON SENSE, THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, THE FEDERALIST AND ANTIFEDERALIST PAPERS and the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Spanish, Mr. Patti spent time in Spain teaching English. Many times he found himself perfecting his Spanish by engaging in heated political debates with the local Spaniards. He took great pride in representing the position of the United States while conversing with the locals in the neighborhood cafés.
Michael then volunteered with the City of Chandler to teach English to immigrants who wanted to assimilate into American culture. This was the impetus that guided him to pursue a career in teaching. For Mr. Patti, nothing was more rewarding than seeing adults learning English in order to pursue their dreams. Many of his students came from poor countries where work was unavailable and where laws that protect the free and independent individual simply do not exist. Many of these immigrants were the proudest Americans he has ever met. They saw what life was like without liberty, and they were willing to do whatever was necessary to obtain that freedom.
For the past 4 years, Mr. Patti has proudly served the citizens of Peoria by teaching high school Spanish and is an active member of the Peoria Education Association (PEA).
As a teacher and coach, Michael understands the fact that no two individuals are alike, and that the more choices given to his students and players the happier and more productive they are. The same philosophy can be applied to the political arena. By allowing more choices and freedom for the citizens to live their lives peacefully, the happier and more productive the citizens will be.
The people granted limited power to the political authority in order to maintain peace and security, the political authority only mandate is to protect the Life, Liberty and Property of every individual.
